- Major: Political Science and Sociology
- Minor: Social Justice
- Founder/President Martin Luther King Student Board at U of M. Organization focuses on advocating racial and cultural awareness and equity through education
- Organizer Uni-Tea at U of M focused on building peaceful and knowledgeable relationships between faith based organizations on the campus
- Founder, organizer of several other organizations including MLK program, Edison Tommies Mentor Program, Environmental Justice Task etc
- Aspires to become a county commissioner in Hennepin County, Insha Allah

- Saturday school teacher at ICM teaching Arabic and member of Al-Madinah Cultural Center and Sisters Need a Place (SNAP)
- Plans on pursuing a career in Print Journalism, Insha Allah. Aspires to bring more balanced, fair and accurate coverage of Islam and Muslims in the press

- Plans on pursuing a career in Engineering and Management, Insha Allah

- Plans on pursuing a dual graduate degree in Law and Public Policy, Insha Allah and be active in the Public Policy arena

- Plans on pursuing a career in Healthcare Administration in a hospital setting and bringing Muslim perspective and understanding in the healthcare policy and administration field, Insha Allah

- Executive Director of Public Relations for Phi Theta Kappa, International Honor Society of 2-year college
- Volunteer member at Fairview Ridges Hospital, Cornerstone Abuse Shelter and American Red Cross
- Plans on going to Medical School and becoming a Cardiologist, Insha Allah

- Part of the board that rebuilt MSA at U of M after 2 years of being inactive, Chief Strategist for the response to Danish Cartoons, Co-host Eid events
- Khateeb U of M Friday Prayers
- Co-founder of MuslimTees.com, included creating marketing strategy, website and designs for T-shirts
- Plans on working for a couple of years and then pursuing an MBA along with a degree in Islamic Finance, Insha Allah

The deadline for the 2005-2006 Academic year has passed. We hope everyone had an opportunity to submit their applications. Recipients of the scholarship will be notified in early August, subsequently a banquet will be held honoring the recipients.
